My experience with Ray's Collision was a refinish for a 1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula. This is the type of car you may take to a car show or cruise and prefer a finish that stands out above the rest. The completed project exceeded my goals and the quality was second to none.

I have an extensive background with the automotive industry including college level automotive courses and my father was an automotive body and chassis technician for 36 years at a local General Motors dealership. I also belong to the Antique Automobile Club of America (MCA) and have toured with national accredited judges for car shows. In short, I am very aware of quality work and how to evaluate it, even if I can't be the one that does it all myself.

I was impressed to find that Ray's shop has extensive background in color match, mixing and application. He has his own mixing station where many shops order out for paint mixing. This leads to better color match and custom blending to client needs. Ray employs experienced, detail oriented staff that apply their skills to each project as it were their own. It goes without saying that the staff and shop experience provides the background and knowledge on older vehicles, originality as well as modern collision repair. Rays stands behind his work and there is a lot of pride in the final product. You can't say this about most shops.

Lastly, I was quite impressed by calendar and time management on my project.
